CERAMIC COAT AND PISTON COAT: Series "V" high temperature ceramic thermal barrier coating was designed to provide thermal barrier protection for piston domes, the corresponding combustion chambers, and valve faces. This specialized formulation withstands detonation impact while reducing surface temperatures and increasing combustion chamber efficiency. Both coatings are formulated using a unique ceramic backbone which is able to withstand pemperatures in excess of 1800 degrees F while having little effect on film integrity. Utilized in diesel and methanol engines as well as an inner wall coating for header and exhaust assemblies.
